comment On-topic at both Mathematics SE and Philosophy
A couple of years ago we had a Logic proposal that made it nearly to beta, before it was determined to merge it with Philosophy. So I agree, this is on-topic at Philosophy, and certain questions also on Mathematics, of course.

comment Fake languages?
We already have sample questions about Esperanto, so at least as far as the definition phase is concerned, they are on-topic.

comment Using Tags in Language Learning
If you feel tempted to tag your question for the language you're learning, there's a good chance this is the wrong site for your question.

comment Are questions about software support on-topic?
@RegularUser: Asking "What is a good..." is always off-topic on Stack Exchange, as it's entirely subjective. Asking "Is there a program that does X, Y and Z?" could possibly be on-topic.

comment Wine has already a place in HomeBrewing
Does homebrewing allow questions about wine pairing, and the other non-brewing aspects of wine? If so, the name is heavily misleading. I don't know about most people, but if I have a question about wine, homebrewing is the last place I would think to ask, unless I was trying to make my own.

comment Final Review: Is the proper title “Second-Language Acquisition”?
@user3169: If "Why learn a language?" isn't about language learning, I don't know what is.

comment Final Review: Is the proper title “Second-Language Acquisition”?
@user3169: I don't think I quite understand what you mean by "not what to learn". Several of the existing sample questions are about what to study (Does Latin help learn the Romance languages? Should you learn declination tables? Why learn Esperanto? Etc)

Nope. Not really interested.

comment General Discussion About *Ask Mint*
I don't use Mint, and probably never will. I've been a Debian developer for over a decade, I'm not likely to change to a different distribution now.

comment Would “Language Overflow” be a good name for this site?
@Ooker: So you responded to "This isn't the time for discussing names" by discussing names?

@Ooker: Then you responded to the wrong person, because I didn't make any name suggestions at all.

@Ooker: Be careful about what? About reporting how SE works when it comes to naming things?

comment Would “Language Overflow” be a good name for this site?
Generally (always?), during beta, the sites are given very generic names. I imagine "Language Learning" or something similarly boring will be used. If/when the site graduates, that's when the more clever name is usually chosen, and that's when "Language Overflow", or other nominations, are most likely to be considered and voted on.

comment StackOverflow brings together millions of programmers in a collective effort. Why partition it into mutually exclusive areas of overlapping info?
This is a well-formulated opinion piece. But apparently the data doesn't back it up. -1

comment Internationalization 'State of the Stack' - SE 2.0 Sites edition
@Rubén: I hadn't read that article, but I've already corresponded with Juan several times. And neither of your links answers my question. Or is there something I missed in comments somewhere?

comment Works with beads will be on-topic?
@Catija: It's rare that I VtC questions like this, but I do almost always comment about the proper use of A51. Even if the question is welcome on the discussion zone, as you imply, that doesn't mean my comments to the effect of "Use the A51 system properly for greater effectiveness" are out of place. I think you're making a big deal out of nothing.
