Proposal: Indian Culture
Indian music is a pretty vast area. Should we allow discussions on music? Or propose a separate QA for the music? Or is music.SE good enough (it doesn't seem to have much coverage on Indian music)?

I think most of the questions would properly fit into http://music.stackexchange.com/. Even if there aren't many questions directly related to Indian classical/raagas/etc. there are many qualified people there who will be able to answer most, if not all, of the questions - even ones relating to the origin and development of different styles. The only types of musical questions appropriate for the "Indian Culture" SE would be regarding how the music is used during festivities, utsavs, celebrations, rituals, etc. |

Art and music are a huge part of any culture. Questions on Indian music should be allowed. |
