Proposal: Hebrew Language & Usage

Would questions asking for translations of text from Hebrew to English be appropriate?

Strait "Translate this passage" questions are not generally welcome on these language sites. Folks don't mind helping to find an appropriate translation for an idiomatic phrase or other helping with subtle translation problems, but his site is for linguists and students want to learn about the language. This is not a translation service.

I agree. There are plenty of good services out there, this is an in depth site for Hebrew language, not a translation Q&A. If it's a really problematic and idiomatic/slangish, than maybe. – Truth Feb 6 at 19:46
