Proposal: Natural Language Processing and Computational Linguistics (NLP/CL)

@eowl I have 200+ rep on SO but over here it always shows up 151. Do we have to earn our rep on AREA 51 to support this proposal?

The reputation considered for the participation on a proposal is the one reported when you commit to the proposal, which in your case is 1229.

That reputation is the sum of the reputation you have in other Stack Exchange sites. It is a little complex to describe which Stack Exchange sites are considered in summing the reputation, but it is not just the Area 51 reputation, which is used to decide, for example, who can edit the proposals created from other users.

No. If you look in the committ list, you will see that you SO reputation counts for the proposal. Just on the other Area51site (like the discussion section here) it is an own reputation count.
