Proposal: Gamers

Gamers appears to be a general gaming site, which already exists in the form of Arqade.

How is this proposal any different than Arqade?

For the socio-cultural questions that don't fit Arqade, they are also on topic at Community Building.

In general maybe however they seem to be on the opion based side... gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/249111/… – DnrDevil Mar 25 '16 at 14:58

An "arquade with less rules" is obviously not gonna pass the area51 approval process due to too much overlap.

But this proposal could have a slim chance of survival if it would focus solely on clan management aspects and leave the gameplay aspects to arquade.

To be honest I tend to agree, however the aspect of game recommendations when/if Website recommendations and software recommendations makes it this also will bring a great aspect to the community – DnrDevil Mar 25 '16 at 12:01

@DnrDevil Both software recs and website recs are bad ideas in my opinion, but those are at least areas with objective criteria and tangible requirements. – Philipp Mar 25 '16 at 12:04

We would also have requirements on asking about recommendations, like platform, type (adventure, etc.) And one similar popular game to compare to (If not one) would be the basic critera – DnrDevil Mar 25 '16 at 12:27

Arqade doesn't allow game recommendations for very good reasons. They sound like a great way to get new users, but you will quickly get inundated with crap, "Hey, what should I play now?" questions. – fbueckert Mar 25 '16 at 13:15
