Proposal: 3D Printing

With now just 6 more commitments needed to bring this site to beta it is looking like we are going to make it; with that being said, we are going to need to start spreading the word.

What makes a successful forum like the ones offered by StackExchange is the community that runs it - without the members, there would be nothing.

They say the last 10 yards are the hardest, lets show them wrong and make this site happen!

What are YOU doing to spread the word; And how can we ensure that once the site is created we can build a great community?

Matt, please do not keep editing this post every time someone commits to the Proposal. Simulating this countdown every time someone new is added keeps bumping this post to the top of the question list which becomes tiresome for anyone watch for new discussions. Thanks. – Robert Cartaino Jan 8 '16 at 14:10

Two more to finish:) – PeterM Jan 8 '16 at 15:44

I have advertised the site in 2 Facebook groups which total over 12,000 members

https://www.facebook.com/groups/makerbot/ 3D printing group (not makerbot specific) https://www.facebook.com/groups/862566740441914/ 3D printed props

I feel that some of the questions asked on these pages could be migrated to the site using the "Answer your own question" feature so we could create a standard reference for common problems.
