Proposal: physical theories

It looks to me like everything on-topic for this proposed site would be on-topic for physics.stackexchange.com -- except for the "discussion" bit, which is off-topic everywhere on the SE network.

Physics.se is more for actually physics that is proven. This would be for theories. Things that are not yet proven. I think these questions are not really for physics but more for an off-topic stand alone.

So...Physic's dumping ground? – fbueckert Aug 6 '15 at 3:23

You can never prove a theory. That's one of the core tenets of science - a theory can always be falsified. Sure, you can gather more and more evidence for a theory, but you can never prove that it is right. Predictions of a theory can be proven correct, but the framework cannot be. – HDE 226868 Aug 6 '15 at 19:17
