The Language Creation Society (LCS) is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 California-based non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting conlangs and conlanging, including helping support projects of general use to the conlanging community, like this. It is the only organization of its kind.

We could potentially provide official sponsorship (if the community desires it), in the form of e.g. a domain name (perhaps ask.conlang.org ?), advertising (links from conlang.org, mentions in FAQs), hosting, etc.

I leave this open-ended deliberately since I don't know what might be desired, or what the Stack Exchange platform supports, so please feel free to comment with suggestions as to how this could be used.

Disclaimer: I'm the primary founder of the LCS and also Chairman of the Board. I was president until I recently stepped down and David Peterson took over the role. Official support would have to be approved by the Board, but I would advocate in favor and expect a positive repsonse.

I think involvement from the Language Creation Society would be a win for both parties. This site would benefit from having experienced Conlangers to answer questions and provide advice as well and having the extra traffic from the LCS website to make sure the activity level here stays up. I also think the LCS would benefit from having some place to direct people with questions to be answered.
