Proposal: Atheism

This site was closed due to it's lack of enough activity. As the subtitle was "Q&A site for the skeptics of a higher power", I think it would be good to move all the questions to the new Skeptics-site (atleast when the site is launched), because it would save a lot of work (the questions / answers).

For one thing, all the questions of Atheism will be off-topic on Skeptics:

Skeptics - Stack Exchange is for skeptics, rationalists, free thinkers, or anyone who questions pseudoscience. Skeptics is about applying skepticism — it's for researching the evidence behind the claims you hear or read. It is not for philosophical discussions about skepticism itself.

But is an atheistic discussion a philosophical discussion about skepticism itself? For me it's rather a rationale discussion about the existence of a higher power. Also isn't it pseudoscience, when you say 'at the beginning there was only Adam and Eva' and no evolution.. – Joschua Mar 25 '11 at 14:56
@Joschua We have a meta question about which kinds of religious questions are on-topic on Skeptics: meta.skeptics.stackexchange.com/questions/63/… – Fabian Mar 26 '11 at 19:46

Some of the questions there were on-topic. If someone was interested enough, and had enough time to sort through them, why not pull them out? – TRiG May 28 '11 at 22:47
@TRiG - Religious issues aside, skeptics requires that questions be about notable claims, something the Atheism site never had. The site also had a lot of name-calling and trolling, which is why I stopped using it. I think the questions from Atheism would be a poor fit on Skeptics. – neilfein Mar 28 at 19:57
@neilfein. Oh, I agree. But some of the questions on the old Atheism site might also fit on Skeptics. Some of them. – TRiG Apr 7 at 3:53
