Proposal: Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

When launching a new site, we need to come up with the web address for that site.

But what about "Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair?" We need a subdomain that is short and somewhat descriptive and memorable to the target audience.

What will work for this site?

Please suggest only one per answer. Thanks.

I like this one. Encompasses all the categories, more-or-less, while still being a bit descriptive and cute. Also suggests a design. – Adrian Petrescu Mar 3 '11 at 20:59
+1. what @Adrian said! – Bob Cross Mar 4 '11 at 12:52
I use my garage for a lot more than fixing cars. Just sayin... – Evan Plaice Mar 18 '11 at 1:54

This hints at the site being intended for professional mechanics. – John Gardeniers Mar 4 '11 at 21:50
@Robert Would it be worthwhile to mark this answer as accepted since it appears to be the option the beta site is now using? – moberley Mar 18 '11 at 18:28
Sure. I forget sometimes that there's all that other SE functionality in here. – Robert Cartaino Mar 18 '11 at 19:20

To me that suggests a site relating to electric motors. Outside the UK cars are rarely referred to as motors. – John Gardeniers Mar 4 '11 at 21:48

(too short?)

Once again, that suggests a site about electric motors, not car repair. – John Gardeniers Mar 6 '11 at 20:48

See the definition for gearhead here

Someone who is totally into cars and is very knowledgeable about how to modify and fix them.

And yes... I'm using UrbanDictionary as an official definition source.

I'm honestly surprised that I'm the first to mention it. – Evan Plaice Mar 18 '11 at 1:53

Same problem as - too general, which would lead to the posting of many off-topic questions. – John Gardeniers Mar 5 '11 at 7:36

My concern is that "autos" would likely suggests a site for car enthusiasts. – Robert Cartaino Mar 3 '11 at 20:53
Yeah, I was just going with the name from the SE 1.0 site. I ended up voting for garage. – Jeremy White Mar 6 '11 at 18:33
